History of Northland Bible Baptist Church - to God be the glory!

"Not that we are sufficient of ourselves to think any thing as of ourselves; but our sufficiency is of God;" 2 Corinthians 3:5 (KJV)

Pastor Tom Cucuzza and his wife, Sue, are called by God to move to St. Cloud, Minnesota. Shortly after moving to Minnesota, Pastor Cucuzza founds St. Cloud Bible Church. The 1st services are held at the old civic center in St. Cloud.

St. Cloud Bible Church begins meeting at Boys & Girls Club on the east side of St. Cloud.

The church moves to Sauk Rapids, MN.

This building once stood at the site of the current Coborn's Superstore in Sauk Rapids.

Northland Christian School founded.

St. Cloud Bible Church changes its name to Northland Bible Baptist Church.

Northland Bible Baptist Church acquires land on County Road 8 SE in southeast St. Cloud. (See our map and directions page for more info).

The groundbreaking ceremony is pictured to the left.

County Road 8 SE facility is completed. The vast majority of the work is done by members of Northland and volunteers from the Quentin Road Bible Baptist Church.

Northland adds a new addition to the church, to accommodate growth in the church and the Christian school.


As with the first building project, church members contribute countless hours to make this a reality.

This picture testifies how God answered our prayers for good weather, even though storm clouds surrounded the project.

Pastor Cucuzza launches the Voice of Assurance radio program.

Northland completes a 3rd addition to the facility on County Road 8 SE. This project adds much needed space to the auditorium and provides additional office space.

Church members and volunteers again rise to the challenge and give of themselves to provide labor and construction knowledge.

Today, Northland Bible Baptist Church continues to minister to the communities of St. Cloud metro area, proclaiming the Gospel of Jesus Christ and equipping believers to carry out the work of our Savior.

At Northland, we understand that our church is made up of people...not just buildings. So while this overview of our history gives you a glimpse of our present and past facilities, we invite you to come meet the people who have been "built up", encouraged, and changed through this ministry. It is our heart's desire to please the One who gave Himself for us, Jesus Christ.

Of course, we haven't "arrived" nor are we perfect...if we were, we wouldn't need church!
Jesus said "...They that are whole have no need of the physician, but they that are sick:..." (Mark 2:17b)

We are sinners saved by grace...it is God Who supplies the strength and power to do any good thing for the sake of His kingdom. May all the glory go to God!

Truly, God has been faithful, and His faithfulness continues to bless and amaze us. God is working in our lives, and there is room at Northland for you! We invite you to come and be a part of our church family.
